Tips membuat surat lamaran kerja yang baik dan menjual:

1.  Surat lamaran harus Impresif.
Isi surat lamaran kerja hendaknya dapat memunculkan kesan simpatik, tidak terlalu arogan tetapi juga tidak terlalu merendah. Intinya tampilkan jati diri kita secara menarik.

2. Surat lamaran harus menarik minat calon atasan.
Buatlah surat lamaran kerja yg ketika seseorang mulai membacanya, akan langsung tertarik untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut seperti apakah kriteria kita. Ingat kesan pertama sangatlah penting.

3. Sebutkan kualifikasi yang diraih dalam surat lamaran.
Contoh prestasi kerja maupun pengalaman yg sukses harus disebutkan, untuk menunjukkan bahwa kita mempunyai prestasi & pengalaman yg patut dipertimbangkan.
Gunakan bahasa yang enak dibaca, ringkas dan padat.

4. Pergunakanlah bahasa yg sederhana & ringkas. Kita mempunyai kesempatan lain untuk menjabarkan semua kelebihan dan kualitas diri kita dalam kesempatan wawancara. Maka dari itu, untuk saat ini buat penjelasan yg singkat tetapi efektif.

5. Perhatikan kalimat dalam surat lamaran.
Dalam surat lamaran kerja anda hindari penggunaan kalimat yg tidak efektif, kalimat yang diulang-ulang tanpa alasan, ejaan yang salah, maupun penggunaan tata bahasa yang buruk. Yang sering terjadi adalah penggunaan kata keterangan yang berulang-ulang, atau kata sambung secara berulang-ulang, yang menyebabkan kalimat terasa janggal, bertele-tele persis seperti contoh kalimat yang sedang anda baca saat ini, yang menggunakan banyak kata sambung ‘yang’ secara berulang-ulang & berlebihan.

6. Surat lamaran kerja berbahasa Indonesia.
Sebaiknya pergunakan bahasa Indonesia saja. Jika tidak diminta, hindari penggunaan bahasa Inggris, terutama jika kemampuan bahasa Inggris kita kurang baik. Jika bahasa Inggris kita bagus, boleh saja membuat surat lamaran kerja berbahasa Inggris, yg tentu saja merupakan sebuah nilai lebih bagi kita.

7. Tujuan dan alasan melamar kerja.
Pada surat lamaran kerja anda, cantumkan tujuan & alasan kita melamar. Biasanya tujuan yg sering disebutkan adalah bahwa kita mempunyai kemampuan dan pengalaman yg memadai dalam bidang pekerjaan tertentu, & dengan bergabungnya kita ke suatu perusahaan akan dapat memberikan kontribusi yg berharga bagi perusahaan tersebut.

8. Kerapihan surat.
Agar lamaran anda mudah dibaca jangan menulis atau mencetak dengan tinta yg terlalu tipis, & hindari penggunaan tipp-ex. Pergunakan kertas yg bagus, bersih & rapih, tidak kusut, tidak tebal dan tidak mudah terkoyak.

9. Buat surat lamaran  kerja dengan tulis tangan atau komputer?
Jika memungkinkan buatlah surat dengan komputer kecuali dipersyaratkan agar ditulis dengan tangan. Agar diperoleh kualitas tulisan yg setara dengan kualitas tulisan dari mesin cetak, sebaiknya gunakan printer inkjet atau laser, dan sebisa mungkin hindari penggunaan printer dot matrix karena akan memberi kesan kita orang yg tertinggal dalam hal teknologi. Gunakan jenis font standar, seperti Times New Roman ukuran 12 untuk memberi kesan formal.

2. STATIC & ROTATING MECHANICAL ENGINEERS

Requirements:

• Education: min. S1 Mechanical Engineering Degree.
• Senior: min. 10 years working experience in oil & gas industry.
• Expert in preparing mechanical specifications, data sheets & RFQ.
• Having knowledge with International Codes and Standards related to Design of Static Equipment.
• Having knowledge with calculation software for mechanical calculation: pressure vessel, pumps, compressors, HVAC, air cooler and heat exchanger.
• Having capability to analyze technical vendor quotation (TBE).

3. SR. PIPING ENGINEERS

Requirements:

• Education: min. S-1 Mechanical Engineering Degree.
• Senior: min. 10 years working experience in oil & gas industry.
• Good knowledge of piping engineering, piping layout, stress analysis and project management.
• Capable of specifying piping components & familiar with various oil & gas Industry standards for laying out facilities, statutory & insurance guideline for approval of facilities.
• Expert in preparing Piping Specifications, calculations, data sheets & RFQ.
• Having experience to perform site checking of piping system, type of pipe support installed & location in conformance with project construction drawing requirements design instruction & installation procedures.
• Having capability to analyze technical vendor quotation (TBE).
• Having knowledge with International Code & Industry Standard.

4. PIPING STRESS ANALYSIS ENGINEERS (SENIOR & MIDDLE)

Requirements:

• Education: min. S-1 Mechanical Degree.
• Senior: min. 10 years working experience in oil & gas industry.
• Good knowledge of piping engineering & pipe support design.
• Familiar with calculation and preparing reports of piping stress analysis using Autopipe plus or Caesar II 5.2.
• Having capability to analyze technical vendor quotation (TBE).
• Having experience to perform site checking of piping system, type of pipe support installed & location in conformance with project construction drawing requirements design instruction & installation procedures.

5. PROJECT ENGINEERS

Requirements:

• Discipline: Electrical & Instrument, Piping, Mechanical, Civil/Structural.
• Education : min. S1 Degree in Engineering background.
• Senior: min. 10 years working experience in oil & gas industry.
• Good knowledge of project management, estimation, procurement, construction related to process equipment.
• Able to be a “Leader” to direct and manage a project team.
• Able to demonstrate leadership, ownership of works and integrity.
• Able to create and starter plan such as kick off meeting, organization, manpower plan, office facilities and budget plan, IT & permit requirement.
• Having the wide range of understanding on engineering key documents i.e. Plot Plan, PFD, P&ID, General Specification, International Code and Standard, HAZID & HAZOP, etc.
• Having high awareness of Contract/Agreement content including legal implication.

6. CONTROL SYSTEM ENGINEER

Requirments:

• Minimal education : S1 majoring in Engineering degree preferably from Technical Industry, Physic, Electronic, Mechanical, Petroleum.
• Minimal experience : 2 years in similar position in oil & gas industry.
• Skills : Good interpersonal skill, negotiation, English proficiency, product sales with good technical knowledge of instrument + oil / gas equipment, familiar with oil & gas industry.

7. CIVIL/STRUCTURE ENGINEER

Requirements:

• Minimal education : DIII / S-1 from engineering specialist preferably from mechanical or Civil degree.
• Minimal experience : 2 years in similar position in oil & gas industry.
• Skills :
- Familiar &experienced with all phases of drawing.
- Excellent understanding of English language, written & oral.
- Good knowledge of project management, procurement, construction and planning as related to process equipment.

• Minimal education : S1 majoring in Engineering degree preferably from Technical Industry, Physic, Electronic, Mechanical, Petroleum.

• Skills : Good interpersonal skill, negotiation, English proficiency, product sales with good technical knowledge of instrument + oil / gas equipment, familiar with oil & gas industry.

9. SR. DOCUMENT CONTROL

Requirements:

• Minimal education : Senior High School preferably DIII / S1.
• Minimal experience : 5 years in similar position prefer in oil & gas industry.

Main Area of Work Responsibilities :

1. Market analysis and setting business goals

* Collect market information and competition
* Analyze market information and seek the feedback
* Set business goals based on market analysis and link to the company business goals

2. Provide and achieve sales budget set

* Communicate sales budget with supervisor/peers/related functions to get support
* Set dealer’s target
* Provide clear guidance to directs reports to achieve sales budget

3. Develop and execute marketing program to achieve sales budget

* Set marketing strategy to achieve sales budget by involving related function communicate it with Marketing Lead to get feedback and support

Requirement :

* Graduate/post graduate in Agriculture Faculty from reputable university
* Having experience in commercial company as sales or marketing at least 3 – 5 years
